Wednesday Window to the World #16

This Week:

What: Fall Leaves

Why: I didn't have the chance to really get out to Patapsco State Park the way I'd hoped to this year, at least not yet.  Still, on my drive home one evening, I crossed the Howard County Line and saw a pleasing scene.  While this looks like a pedestrian pathway, it is actually a road, possibly the old alignment of Browns Bridge Road, that still remains as a terrace for a pair of driveways.  I turned down the street and stopped to get this shot on digital, and a companion shot on film.

When: October 29, 2014.

Where: Schooley Mill Road, Fulton, MD

Who: No one here, though you'd be surprised to know of the commuters passing just about 40 feet to the right of this view.

How: Still toting along the Olympus E-PL2, and getting some use of the kit lens zoomed back to 14mm.  Camera was shot at f/3.5 to give some softness to the image. with a 1/20 second exposure time at ISO 200.

Raw image was imported into Photoshop and given modest bumps in contrast and vibrance as well as a number of tweaks to contrast settings as well as my first real fiddling with temperature and tint to favor the yellow tones evident in the photo.
