Classic Kodachrome Monday #52

Every Monday, I'll be spotlighting a different classic Kodachrome slide that I've picked up, and trying where I can to detail the who, what, when, where, why, and how (much) of the image:

This Week:

What: Cloud-palooza

Why: Wonderful color rendition and retention for its age, and a really great slice of life scene of a typical small town of the era.

When: August 1, 1952 based on the markings on the slide mount.

Where: Rawlins, WY. Thankfully, the sale listing disclosed this, and given that Rawlins is not too large, pinpointing the exact location was not too much of a take.  It seems a given that the scene of the 1950's looks a lot more aesthetic than that of today.

Who: A couple people evident, but not prominent.

How (much): Spent $7.95 on this one, a little more than I spend on most, but the scene was definitely one deserving to be spotlighted.
