Classic Kodachrome Monday #77

Every Monday, I'll be spotlighting a different classic Kodachrome slide that I've picked up, and trying where I can to detail the who, what, when, where, why, and how (much) of the image:

This Week:

What: Hustle and Bustle

Why: You would be hard pressed to find a better example of a vintage photo that blends a busy street scene full of classic cars with a thriving retail scene running right up along it. This scene manages to do just that.  I can picture the photographer anxiously awaiting the last car in the pack to zip through before walking to the center, and quickly and carefully composing this great shot of a busy retail district in the 1950's.

When: A Spring Day in 1958.

Where: Miami, FL. I knew Flagler Avenue to be the location based upon writing on the mount, and upon more investigation, the area remains as a retail hub in Miami.  The scene is still busy though it lacks quite the workaday charm of the original photo.

Who: Lots of folks who blend into the scene.

How (much): $6.99 on ebay.
