Kodachrome Classic Monday #47

Every Monday, I'll be spotlighting a different classic Kodachrome slide that I've picked up, and trying where I can to detail the who, what, when, where, why, and how (much) of the image:

This Week:

What: Mountain Town

Why: Lots of period elements, old logos, classic autos, and a particularly interesting setting with the mountains and clouds make this snap a winner in my book.

When: The 1960's are edging into this classic shot, but since this slide was developed by a third party lab, there is no border stamp to help pinpoint it.  My rough guess would be some time around 1962 or so, but someone may be able to pick out a newer model car in the scene.

Where: Brigham, UT. The slide was labeled as Brigham NV, but a rather quick search foiled any idea of that.  Fortunately, Google suggested Utah in its auto predict, and low and behold, it was an easy matter from there to find this location in the rather modest town of Brigham, thanks in large part to the sign for Brigham still being there, as well as the sign for the Capitol Theater.

Who: It's in Utah and it's named Brigham.  Anyone care to guess for whom this town might be named? ;-)

How (much): A $5.99 ebay score.
